(Yes, the MOST modifiable condition to help stem Dementia. i.e. The Lancet Commission identified this. Poor hearing is a leading risk factor for Dementia in older adults. Untreated hearing increases the risk by2-5 times. It contributes to Dementia by causing brain atrophy, increasing cognitive load, and fostering social isolation.
