#12 - May 30 - Starting early to celebrate Marilyn's 100th June 1, w/ lots of "Marilyns" downtown Palm Springs.

#11 - May 30 - Happy Natal Day to Miss Ruta Lee. SOOO GLAD YOU WERE BORN!!!

#10 - May 28 - The Palm Springs Citywide Arts and Culture Celebration kickoff for "XOXO Palm Springs" @ the Plaza Theatre was memorable, FOR CERTAIN. Kudos to Amy Blaisdell & the City of Palm Springs. Kudos to three very different and diverse acts (yes, Palm Springs is diverse, lol) were expertly emceed by Councilman Jeffrey Bernstein. And, of course, anything that John Bolton presents @ the Plaza Theatre is professionally produced to the highest standards. Great technology, incredible sound, and perfect graphics. Love where we live!!!! Don't miss any of this. www.XOXOpalmsprings.com.

#9 – May 26 – Michael Orland’s “Open Mic” Night at Revolution Stage Company was just wonderful. Watching these performers — mostly singers of all ages and all levels of talent and stage presence — was thoroughly entertaining. The younger folks still figuring out what their dreams might be, while the seasoned performers reflecting on what their dreams “might have been.” “…Yet everyone glowed under the guidance and talent of the magnificent pianist, arranger, and vocal coach, Michael Orland.” We all left wanting MORE. www.revolutionstagecompany.com.

#8 - May 25 - High School Chums Bob and Elaine Leatherwood visited. No time has really passed since 1963.

#7 - RIP Ted Turner. 11.19.1938 - 5.6.2026. Thanks for the Atlanta Braves, CNN, TCM and all the entertainment and sports all the years.

#6 - Have a Blessed Memorial Day. Remember, "freedom is NOT free". God Bless America.

#5 - Tyler celebrated his 38th bday (and my half-bday. lol) participating in Sparta Race again and getting tickets to the Dodger/Angel ball game. Wonderful human being.

#4 - May 10. Life doesn't come w/ a manual, it comes w/ a Mother. All of us HAD one and some of us ARE one. Blessings. Photo on the ranch w/ my mother about 1946.

#3.- May 9 - Thanks to Marilyn and son Roger Benachowski, Maestro Tom Hartley and the Palm Springs Symphony for their glorious Mother's Day offering of "A Symphony of Surprises," featuring internationally acclaimed pianist John Novacek. A Julliard-trained virtuoso known worldwide for his dazzling technique, improvisational brilliance, and collaborations w/ many of the world's greatest orchestras and artists, Novacek was absolutely electrifying. I've never seen a pianist so completely "one with the instrument". The audience at the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre sat dumbstruck one moment and leapt to its feet the next - over and over again throughout the evening. It wasn't just a concert, it was an experience. DO NOT miss the Symphony's final concert of the season - July 4, 2026 @ 3:00 PM. www.palmsprings-symphony.org.

#2.- May 3 - Loved Jere Ring's VIP 70th natal day celebration. For Jere, 70 is the new 30!!!! Happy Birthday Taurus.

#1. May 1 - Unbelievable “script-in-hand” performance of "Better Late" at the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre starring Jason Alexander, Lucie Arnaz, Dan Bucatinsky, and David Hyde Pierce - directed by Susan Stroman. What could have been a simple staged reading became a masterclass in timing, talent, and pure show business magic. These seasoned pros proved you don’t need sets, costumes, or memorization to bring a script to life—you just need brilliance. The audience hung on every word, every pause, every laugh. A rare and thrilling reminder of what great performers can do with “just the page.” www.palmspringsplazatheatre.com.
