- JOEY’S REVIEW; CV REP'S Executive Artistic Director Adam Karsten presents the opening of "Ernest Shackleton Loves Me". I now have a definition of the word "quirky". No spoilers here but suffice to say this show cleverly blends the modern-day struggles of Kat (a struggling composer who's broke) w/ Shackleton's real-life 1914 expedition. It's funny, heartfelt and musically driven - don't ask me how, it just works. In the end it's about survival - for everyone, everywhere and in every time zone. Starring Sarah Manton and Matt Miles (on the Joey English Show 4.19) who carry nonstop dialogue and are completely believable - they're simply outstanding. It is, after all, ENTERTAINING and whimsical and yes "quirky". It plays thru May 10, don't miss it. www.cvrep.org.
