- MISSION is to provide; groundwater management, drinking water, sewer service, recycled water and conservation resources.
TOPIC FOR TODAY:
- REPORT on checking your irrigation systems and getting a “smart controller”.

- REPORT that there will be a workshop Wed., Sept., 30 for business property owners and maintenance persons about “non-functional turf”.
- DISCUSSION that our water is checked 2500 times a year.
- REPORT that our sewer system is managed by the City of Palm Springs. They treat the sewer water and then send it to DWA who treat it AGAIN to the 3rd level.
- TIPS/SERVICES FOR WATERING RIGHT NOW
1. Check your irrigation systems for leaks, breaks or water spraying in the wrong direction. Make sure you are watering plants, not pavement.
2. Water in early morning and late afternoon to reduce evaporation.
3. Use mulch around plants.
4. Water the roots of plants.
5. Choose native plants and do NOT overwater.
6. Group “like” plants together for better watering.
7. Set your mower blade higher to stop burning.
