It holds SPT status with Actor's Equity. CVRep produces innovative and thought-provoking theater of substance, new works as well as boldly reimagined productions of works from contemporary repertory. - DISCUSSION of the wonderful venue and the attentive audiences @ CVRep.
- REPORT on her career thus far and how the music and voice of Karen Carpenter is so soothing that Joanne will blend into things from the 70’s.
- DISCUSSION of how the Carpenters’ music had such a different sound. Karen played the drums as well and at first they didn’t do their own songs but covered other artists recordings. How Karen’s voice “appeared” and she began to sing.
- DISCUSSION of their “sound”. How they both “overdubbed” their own recordings.
- ANNOUNCEMENT that Michael Orland will be her pianist. YAY!!!
- DISCUSSION of how she began her “Doris Day” Show that started in Milwaukee.
