RED-JEEP TOURS w/ Rick Curtis re: 74-794 Lennon Pl., Ste., B. Palm Desert, CA. 92260. 8 years as a guide.
- REPORT on rattlesnakes. Males mature @ 3 to 5 years and females mature @ 5 to 7 years.
– REPORT that only morning tours are running right now. – REPORT that they will most likely be closed all of July and August - #1 Tour is the San Adreas Fault Tour. – #2 Tour is the Indian Canyons Tour.
- REPORT on new starting times for tours.
- DISCUSSION that the Joshua Tree tour is crowded. Can be an hour wait JUST TO GET IN. Joshua Tree is a National Wilderness (can have NO SIGNS that “man” has been there, i.e. bathrooms, etc.) Then it became a National Park. May be the only Wilderness that is also a Park. Only Congress can create a Wilderness. “leave no trace”. - REPORT that you should always get there early.
- REPORT that there are lizards, snakes and tortoises in the Wilderness/Park.
