- DEFINITION; The Palm Springs Symphony is a nonprofit orchestral organization based in Palm Springs, Ca, serving as the Symphony-in-Residence at the historic Palm Springs Plaza Theatre. Founded in 2023, it enriches the cultural life of the Coachella Valley through live performances, education programs, and community outreach. The group emphasizes accessibility, offering both classical and contemporary music experiences for diverse audiences.
- MISSION STATEMENT; Palm Springs Symphony’s mission is to enhance and enrich the cultural fabric of Palm Springs and the surrounding region through artistic excellence and community engagement. It was established by co-founders Roger and Marilyn Benachowski and Tom Hartley, who envisioned a professional orchestra dedicated to both entertainment and education. The organization operates as a registered Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation in California.
