2. Determine if you qualify
3. Complete the required counseling session
4. Submit your application and paperwork
5. Your home is appraised
6. The loan is reviewed and approved (underwriting)
7. Sign the final loan documents
8. The loan funds, pays off existing mortgages and any remaining money goes to you.
