- REVIEWS on the last two nights of successful productions of 4.17 – Cathedral City Senior Center Gala “A Night to Remember” @ the Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage (Cathedral City Senior Center’s “A Night to Remember” Gala, presented by Steve Tobin & Johnny Krupa @ Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, was just that—unforgettable. You think you’ve seen everything a gala can offer, and then Frank Goldstin and Momentous Events raise the bar yet again. A glorious setting, imaginative décor, fabulous food, A-list guests, a polished emcee in Patrick Evans, and heartfelt remarks from CEO Geoff Corbin and COO Victor Ide (pictured here on the Joey English Show). And then… to raise over $600,000—with the final count still to come—you simply say, “Thank you for this wonderful community we live and work in.”) and 4.18 - Palm Springs Cultural Center (There’s a line in Pippin that says, “We’ve got magic to do,” and last night at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Broadway’s beloved leading lady, Sierra Boggess, delivered exactly that—and more. In an evening honoring Dr. Tom Truhe, produced by the ever-brilliant Frank Goldstin, Boggess was smart, funny, charming, and vocally breathtaking. Her program moved effortlessly from Andrew Lloyd Webber to sultry torch songs of the 1940s, showcasing both range and artistry. Backed by an elegant trio—cello, acoustic bass, and piano—the music was as refined as it was moving. The sold-out audience rose to its feet more than once, a testament to an evening that truly cast a spell.
