Robert Yacko is a veteran of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theatres across the country and has been a denizen of Los Angeles stages for decades. He led the L.A. premiere of Sondheim & Lapine’s Sunday In The Park With George, the West Coast Premiere of Karen Zacarias’ Legacy Of Light as Voltaire, and the L.A. Premiere of Chess with Jodi Benson. Robert has appeared in recent years with Laura Pulver (of BBC’s Sherlock) in Parade, and with Lilias White in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, both at the Mark Taper Forum; also with David Alan Grier, Ana Gasteyer, Lea Salonga, Megan Hilty and Steven Weber in Annie at the Hollywood Bowl. Robert is hailed as one of today’s leading cabaret and concert singers.

Glenn Rosenblum is a dynamic lecturer, stage and television actor known as a bona fide “theatre-phile,” and he’s back with two more episodes in his entertaining, information packed, rich behind-the-scenes tales Broadway Showstoppers. He will welcome Broadway veteran Alix Korey as his special guest. Alix is a veteran of ten Broadway shows, the last being the recent revival of Fiddler On The Roof as Yenta the matchmaker. Others include co-starring roles in All Shook Up, CHICAGO, Neil Simon’s 45 Seconds From Broadway, Triumph Of Love, Ain’t Broadway Grand and Pirates Of Penzance. For her many Off- Broadway appearances, she received two Drama Desk nominations, an Outer Critics Circle nomination, and a Dramaleague award. ▪ 7-16 Summer Cabaret Series – Sarah Uriarte Berry – “For the Love of Judy”
Sarah Uriarte Berry will touch hearts and recall treasured memories during “For the Love of Judy.” No last name required. This will be a lovefest. Sarah Uriarte Berry has starred in five Broadway shows and three Broadway National tours. She has headlined at the New York City Opera and was a soloist at Carnegie Hall with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marin Alsop. On Broadway, she is, perhaps, most noted for creating the role Franca in The Light In The Piazza at Lincoln Center Theatre, for which she received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations. Prior to that, she appeared as Belle in Disney’s Beauty & The Beast, Eponine in Les Misérables, Nicola in Taboo, and as Diana in the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning Next To Normal. She also appeared in the title role for New York City Opera’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

Step into the golden age of entertainment with a dazzling evening of song, dance, and romance starring award-winning married Broadway duo Nic Dromard & Desi Davar. With credits spanning Wicked, Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins, West Side Story, and more, this real-life husband and wife team brings their signature blend of powerhouse vocals, showstopping tap dance, and magnetic chemistry to the stage in a celebration of Broadway, Hollywood, and the American Songbook.

Mary Vanarsdel is a multi-award-winning actress and singer with nearly 150 credits to her name. She is best known for originating the role of Miss Shingle in the First National Broadway tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A Gentleman's Guide To Love And Murder and for originating The Bird Woman in the First National Broadway tour of Mary Poppins. She has been seen in productions coast to coast at many of the top regional theaters as well as in film and television.
▪ 7-28; Summer Cabaret Series – “The Holidays in July (Broadway’s Holiday Songs and A Little From Hollywood Too” with host Glenn Rosenblum and special guests Eileen Barnett and Dana Meller from Broadway and LA’s Musical Theatre Guild
Eileen Barnett’s first job was as a pit singer in Stephen Sondheim's “Company.” Eileen performed the role of Fosca in MTG's West Coast premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Passion, for which she won a Robby Award, as well as "Big Edie" Bouvier Beals in Grey Gardens, Lady In The Dark, A New Brain, Little Women and Rags. She has taken her cabaret act to both coasts and has recorded two CD's: Eileen Barnett Live At The Cinegrill and a children’s recording, Broadway With A Beat. Dana Meller appeared on Broadway as Eponine in Les Misérables and as Estelle in the first national tour of The Full Monty. Her regional credits include performances at the Kennedy Center, North Shore Music Theatre, Santa Rosa Theatre, Utah Musical Theatre, The Directors Club (NYC), and The New York Theatre Workshop.
▪ 7-30 Summer Cabaret Series – Davis Gaines
Davis Gaines performed the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera more than 2,000 times on Broadway, in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Subsequently, he was chosen by Hal Prince and Andrew Lloyd Webber to play the leading role in the World Premiere of Whistle Down the Wind. Other Broadway and National Tour credits include Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera, Cornelius Hackl in Hello, Dolly! (with Carol Channing), Camelot (with Richard Burton), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (with Alexis Smith). Additionally, Gaines has sung for six U.S. Presidents and with virtually every major symphony orchestra in North America, including the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl. A native of Orlando, he currently resides in Los Angeles and is a frequent singer of our National Anthem for the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Dodgers.

▪ 7-9 and 7-10; “Forbidden Broadway” David Green’s Musical Theatre University presents the legendary long-running Off-Broadway musical revue delivering a hilarious, razor-sharp send-up of Broadway’s biggest hits and brightest stars.
▪ 7-11; “Grease” The classic, much loved movie is being presented as part of the Plaza’s summer sing-along series.
▪ 7-16 and 07-17; “Footloose” David Green’s Musical Theatre University, The Plaza Theatre and The Palm Springs Unified School District present “Broadway at the Plaza – A Regional Summer Stock” featuring talented young people from throughout the Coachella Valley and Inland Empire in full-staged productions of Broadways biggest hit musicals. “Footloose” is the explosive musical adapted from the iconic feature film. It tells the story of Ren McCormack, a city teen who moves to a small town where dancing is banned by a strict preacher, leading him to challenge the rules, find romance, and help the community heal and rediscover joy through music and dance. The show includes hits like "Let's Hear It for the Boy" and "Holding Out for a Hero," alongside new songs for the stage, and it earned Tony nominations for its book and score.
▪ 7-19; “Titanic The Musical” With music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone, the original Broadway production of “Titanic the Musical” won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. This stunning production, captured live on stage for cinema screenings, celebrates the 10th anniversary of its London premiere, where it won sweeping critical acclaim.
