- DISCUSSION of how the summer heat can hurt your dogs paws. If you cannot put your hand down on the pavement, DON’T HAVE YOUR DOGGIE WALK on it!!!

- REPORT that it is illegal in CA. TO LEAVE A PET IN A LOCKED CAR.

- DISCUSSION to NOT leave metal chains on your pet in the heat, or water in metal bowls.

1. How do I “send” my pet on a plane without me? (Pet will actually go into the cargo hold of the plane and each airline has the rules and regulations on their website)

- DISCUSSION that “Yappy Hour” is back for the Season. First Thurs., of each month @ the Riviera Hotel. Fun-raiser w/ Pet Parents who have friendly dogs on leashes. $20. Donation; wine, appetizers. Come even if you DO NOT have a pet. No adoptions at this event. This is social.

- REPORT on the Therapy Pets Volunteers Classes. You must take the class and pass a test. The work is in hospitals, libraries, schools, even COD during Finals, etc.

- REPORT on the Adoption fees are $90 for kitties and $250. for puppies.

- REPORT that volunteers are ALWAYS NEEDED.
