THE ELISHA PROJECT C4K w/ Matt Diehl re; Christ + Compassion + Clothes for Kids
- DISCUSSION of the origin and naming of the project because of the loss of his precious son Elisha on Ap.,20, 2024 @ only 12 years old.
- DISCUSSION of the “clothes” aspect. Elisha was @ Desert Christian Academy and said a week before his death that he wanted to help kids get clothes so they would be more confident in life.
- DISCUSSION of what Billy Graham said about “what Heaven will be like”. Matt had a “vision” about this and what Elisha will be doing in Heaven.
- REPORT on how he believes God “sees” us.
- REPORT that now they are a 501C3, as of May of ‘25, but started under the banner of Desert Christian Academy.
- REPORT on how the monies are distributed; $300 ( the amount Elisha had in his piggy bank when he passed) for each child to spend on clothing.
- DISCUSSION of how successful their fund-raising has been. A blessing and they have helped over 100 children so far.
- REPORT on the Mission Statement for Desert Christian Academy; A Christ-centered school that is passionate about shaping students’ foundational journey w/ the power of the gospel. A loving place of innovation and discovery that is governed by grace, and develops disciples who are responsible, productive, deep thinking, steadfast, honorable, sacrificial, and well equipped for a lifetime of Christian service.
