The American Legion National Legislative Council for the Dept., of CA.; National Constitution & By-laws Committee for the American Legion; Dept., of CA. Vice Chair of Foreign Relations & National Security, Area 5 District 21 Executive Board member; Life member of American Legion Current Post 519 Parliamentarian @ 400 N. Belardo, Palm Springs, CA. 92262, and Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Parliamentarian SoCal for the Hispanic American Police Officers Command Association and Tony de Maio, the CEO and President, started/founded “Helping Heroes USA.

- REPORT that Tony de Maio, the CEO and President, started/founded “Helping Heroes USA” and providing this time for us to talk about all these issues.

- MISSION STATEMENT of HELPING HEROES USA IS A COMMUNITY-BASED SOLUTION IN PREVENTING SUICIDE BY EMPOWERING INDIVIDIUALS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. Taking a proactive stance to address the epidemic. Education and community involvement are crucial. Having people on the ground to provide support too.

- REMEMBRANCE of Y2K scare and panic.

- REPORT on invitations for the Navy League; i.e. Mar-a-Lago for Feb.,12 and the parade in Washington; Mar-a-Lago for 4th of July and Veterans Day;

- REPORT that the Navy League serves the Navy, the Marine Corp, the Merchant Marines and the Coast Guard.

- MISSION of the Navy League; to support and advocate for America’s sea services; (Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, U.S.-Flagged Merchant Marine) by enhancing personnel morale, educating the public and Congress on maritime importance, and fostering youth programs like the Naval Sea Cadets, ensuring strong sea power for national defense and economic prosperity.
