- REPORT that Animal Samaritans is participating in Black History Parade. Volunteers are welcome to walk in the parade w/ Animal Samaritans. Email volunteer@animalsamaritans.org. Meet by “Forever Marilyn”.
- REPORT on March 9, ACT (Animal Companion Therapy) is participating in LGTRQ Days in Cathedral City.
- DISCUSSION that “Yappy Hour” is back for the Season. First Thurs., of each month @ the Riviera Hotel. Fun-raiser w/ Pet Parents who have friendly dogs on leashes. $20. Donation; wine, appetizers. Come even if you DO NOT have a pet. No adoptions at this event. This is social.
- REPORT on the Therapy Pets Volunteers Classes. You must take the class and pass a test. The work is in hospitals, libraries, schools, even COD during Finals, etc.
- REPORT that the newly renovated Thousand Palms is open.
- DISCUSSION to check the website for events in February.

2. SAVE THE DATE: FEB., 28 – Petco on Hwy., 111 in Palm Desert adoption event for puppies and dogs. 11 AM to 1 PM. All animal parents are vetted. There’s a “meet ‘n greet”.
- REPORT on the Adoption fees are $90 for kitties and $250. for puppies.
- REPORT that volunteers are ALWAYS NEEDED.
